Oral Medicine and Radiology​

The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology is about diagnosing and formulating the treatment plan. With the aid of investigations that include clincal as well as Radiological, especially with Radiology the intraoral periapical radiographs, occlusal radiographs, extraoral radiographs, and the use of advanced imaging modalities, RVG, PSP and CBCT. Postgraduates are trained to carry out a various forms of academic activities in the department under the supervision of the faculty members and the HOD that includes elaborated case discussions, radiographic interpretations, and regular updates on the emerging advances pertaining to diagnostic modalities for various oral mucosal diseases by carrying out the journal club meetings, so has to have an edge with the management protocols of certain diseases which are diagnosed in the department. Also the students have exposure through inter-department intercation with Dept of Oral Pathologoy & microbiology, and the department of oral Maxillofacial Surgery. We promote and encourage various research programs in our department, that inculdes for staff, PG Students, as well as the UG Students.
